Imron’s Story
Imron is a 37-year-old from Sidoarjo, East Java. He juggles his daily life as a food delivery driver, manages his digital business, and acts as a fintech agent. During the day, he works as a food delivery driver.
During breaks and at night, he sells goods ranging from smartphones to bags, promoting them on social media platforms like Facebook Marketplace.
He also manages requests for top-ups and digital payments using digital wallets or his fintech agent app.
When Imron applied to one of the QRIS Merchant providers, he encountered difficulty with the E-KYB process, which required him to submit a photo of his store front. Since he primarily conducts sales online and only has a glass shelf display in his living room, he thought it wasn't suitable to submit. Additionally, submitting a photo from an internet browser was not allowed. He used a photo of his neighbour's store, and it was approved.
Imron has high digital savviness and enjoys exploring new apps to compare their benefits and ease of use. For him, reliability is crucial, alongside ease of use, price, and the range of product offerings. He prefers services with fewer errors and easy access to troubleshooting to ensure his balance is safe. In QRIS usage, he prefers providers offering real-time settlement, so he doesn't have to wait 24 hours to access his funds for restocking. Once, he experienced a failed transaction and had to wait 24 hours to get his money back. Since then, he has been wary of using QRIS for large transactions.
“That's why I use this provider, because they give a lot of discounts, not cashback. And it is simple; all transactions in one app, easy to use, and I didn't need to ask anyone.” - Imron
