Wilden’s Story
Wildan is a young 22-year-old fisherman lives in Surabaya. Along with his 20 boat-crew friends, his work is based on the fish season and when the weather is friendly.
Wilden has a habit of saving money in a traditional piggy bank. He prefers this method because it provides quick access to cash in emergencies, without the limitations of bank operating hours or distance. He once had a bank but no longer use the account nor opening the mobile banking. One of the reasons he is cautious with mobile banking is the negative experience of his friend, who became more spendthrift. He fears that easy access to funds might lead to unnecessary expenses, particularly on online games, seeing that he even spend up to IDR 800,000 in a week for the game.
He once registered to a mobile banking to support his game top-up, encouraged by his friends and advertisement he saw in the Google Play Store. However, his attempt to register was thwarted by a technical glitch when he didn't receive the OTP code despite multiple tries. This frustrating experience led Wildan to uninstall the app and revert to his familiar method of purchasing phone credit and electricity tokens through local counters.
