Zahidul’s Story
Zahidul is a 42 year old man who works in the local community college in a village in Bangladesh. Alongside this, he also manages land. In order to manage his regular transactions (cash-in, sending money, mobile recharges etc.) he decided to open an MFS account.
He chose his brand based on a colleagues recommendation. He was particularly impressed by the popularity of the service and security the service offered.
To add to this, this information was also verified by a a tech-savvy relative. It was only after this that Zahidul decided to visit an agent.
Zahidul chose an agent that he had known for a long time. In fact, he even visited the agents house to take stock of the documents he needed to get onboarded. Once he had enough information, he went home and got his documents in order. The next day, Zahidul arrived at the agents shop with the relevant documents and handed his phone over to the agent. The process was a smooth one apart from a glitch in the “capturing a photo” phase. Finally, the agent handed Zahidul a paper with his PIN.
