Yash & Abhishek’s Story
Yash and Abishek, both in their 30s, co-manage a hotel in Varanasi. Beyond overseeing daily operations, one of their main focusses has been to prioritise their employees' well-being.

Until recently, the hotel staff, from housekeepers to cooks, were paid in cash, leading to inefficiencies. Some workers had bank accounts, while others didn’t, creating financial insecurity. Recognising the need for change, Yash and Abishek worked with UCO Bank to open salary accounts for every employee, offering additional benefits like insurance and overdraft facilities. They support their employees in gathering all the relevant documents.

They also helped set up Google Pay (GPay) accounts, as they felt it was a reliable and secure option for digital payments.
What sets them apart is the strong bond they’ve fostered with their staff. The managers see themselves not just as bosses but as big brothers, creating a workplace that feels more like a community. This mutual care and trust have strengthened employee loyalty and well-being under their leadership.
